Pro Biotic Foods

Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder which has been closely linked to mental illness. People with anorexia tend to starve themselves or exercise excessively in order to maintain or achieve a figure which is distinctly below a healthy weight. This strong obsession with food and weight loss can lead the patient to constantly regard themselves as fat, regardless of what doctors, and the scales, may say.

Symptoms of Aneroxia

Symptoms can range from being secretive about food or eating, having a tendency to be sick (closely related with bulimia) and the obvious vast drop in weight. People can be known to miss periods and suffer extreme fatigue from the lack of nutrition and bodily fat. They will become progressively weak and skin can become brittle and pale, even leading to shortness in breath and difficulty in completing tasks without breaks or rests.

Anorexia nervosa is most common among teenage girls, but has also been known to affect boys and adults. Ironically, people who suffer from anorexia tend to be very secretive about it. Rather than showing off the body they have been striving to achieve, they often keep themselves hidden under baggy clothes and layers. If left untreated or unnoticed, anorexia in the long term can lead to an irregular heartbeat, the wasting away of muscles, osteoporosis, and even death.
